Metanolon action mechanism:

Metanolon contains the active ingredient methandienone that belongs to a group of bulking anabolic steroids. Methandienone penetrates cell nucleus, activates synthesis of DNA, RNA and structural proteins, activates the enzymes of cellular respiratory chain, oxidative phosphorylation, ATP synthesis and accumulation. Metanolon stimulates anabolic and suppresses catabolic processes caused by corticosteroids. Metabolic significantly helps to build muscles and reduce fat deposits.

Metanolon clinical indications:

• Cachexia
• Disorders of protein synthesis
• Severe infectious diseases accumulation by loss of proteins
• Muscular dystrophy
• Myopathy induced by corticosteroids
• Diabetic angiopathy
• Tissue regeneration in traumas, surgical interventions
• Growth retardation in children
• Delayed puberty
• Encephalopathy on the background of alcoholic hepatitis

Metanolon caution, precaution and warnings!

The medication must not be used in the following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity to any of the medication ingredients
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Cardiovascular diseases including heart attacks, strokes, coronary heart disease, angina
• Liver diseases including hepatic failure, liver cirrhosis
• Kidney diseases such as renal failure, glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis
• Hypercalcemia
• Cancer of the mammary gland (in men)
• Prostate gland cancer

The medication should be used with caution if any of the following conditions apply to you:

• Liver diseases in anamnesis
• Kidney diseases in anamnesis
• Diabetes
• Tendency to bleedings

Metanolon side effect: Like any medication Metanolon may cause certain specific side effects. If a side effect is stated below it will not necessarily occur during the drug's application. However, if you experience any of the Metanolon side effects during the treatment make sure to inform your health care provider. Possible Metanolon side effects may include:

• Gastrointestinal tract: dyspepsia, liver dysfunction, jaundice
• Cardiovascular system: bleedings, leukemoid syndrome, iron deficiency anemia
• Other: aggravation of atherosclerosis
• In women: virilism, hypercalcemia
• In men in prepubertal period: acne, priapism, formation of secondary male characters, idiopathic skin hyperpigmentation, growth retardation. In postpubertal period irritation of urinary bladder, gynecomastia, priapism, mastodynia, decrease in sexual function. In elderly age cancer of the prostate gland

• Diabetes medications
• Cholesterol lowering agents
• Corticosteroids
• Human growth hormone and other hormonal medications
