Oxandrolone action mechanism:

Oxandrolone belogs to a group of bulking anabolic steroids, derivative from dihydrotestosterone. Oxandrolone possesses a small level of androgenicity and moderate anabolic effect. Being DHT derivative, oxandrolone does not aromatize and is not converted into estrogen.

The medication stimulates protein synthesis through the increasing nitrogen reabsorbtion. It also promotes calcium fixation in bone tissue.

Oxandrolone clinical indications:

• Cachexia of different origin
• Disorders of protein metabolism (associated with traumas, surgery, burns, radiation therapy)
• Infectious diseases accompanied by loss of proteins
• Corticosteroid induced myopathy
• Diabetic angiopathy
• Growth retardation (Turner syndrome)
• Sexual infantilism
• Encephalopathy on the background of alcoholic hepatitis

Oxandrolone caution, precaution and warnings!

The medication must not be used in the following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity to any of the medication ingredient
• Liver diseases including liver cirrhosis, hepatic failure
• Kidney diseases including renal failure, glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis
• Cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, stroke, coronary heart disease, angina and others
• Hypercalcemia
• Breast cancer in men
• Prostate cancer
• Pregnancy
• Breastfeeding

• Increased secretion of the sebaceous glands, chills
• Sleep disorders
• Peripheral edema
• In women: virilism, high calcium blood levels
• In men: in pubertal period virilism, idiopathic skin hyperpigmentation, growth retardation, erectile dysfunction, gynecomastia, priapism
