Alli action mechanism:

Generic Alli contains the active ingredient Orlistat. Orlistat is inhibitor of gastrointestinal lipases that works by decreasing the absorption of fats coming with foot in the form of triglycerides. Stomach and intestinal lipase break down fats into smaller molecules which are then absorbed into the blood circulation. By decreasing fats absorption, Orlistat helps decrease the amount of calories coming with food. This is beneficial for weight loss. The drug does not have any effect on carbohydrates or protein.

The medication must not be used in the following conditions:
